abstract = {The article covers method and results of use of Foley catheter in the thromboendovenectomy in 5 patients with portal vein thrombosis. Material. In 2012 (September) -2013 (September) in the Department of Organ Transplantation of the Medical Center named after Turgut Ozal of the Republic of Turkey liver transplantation was performed in 265 patient?. In 5 of recipients Foley catheter was used in the thromboendovenectomy performed for. ''portal vein thrombosis ''. 5 of the patients were men and 1- woman. In the middle age group, 58. 7 ( 42-64 ), MELD (Model for End-Stage Liver Disease) scale - 27 ( 21 - 36) Child B of Child-Pi,gh classification was found in 4, and Child C in 1 patient. Patients were followed up within I -12 months. During this period 2 of the patients died. 3 patients are currently alive. Result. Using a Foley catheter during endovenectomy in portal vein thrombosis and portal vein damage, to stop bleeding and placing of sutures is a convenient method under any conditions.},
